Winter is the darkest time of the year. The daylight is limited to an average of 9 hours/day where I live, compared to 15 hours/day in June. People and cultures bring light into the world through celebrations and festivities like Diwali, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.
I love light, as it is a central part of my being. When I thought of a name for my HR Consulting company, it had to be about light, helping bring people together and move toward the light. Hence, People Bright Consulting became the name of the company.
It’s always a magical time of year for me, wherever I am. After many years under COVID, we are resuming our love of travel, celebrating this festive time of year by visiting the Weihnachtsmarkt (translation Wine Night Market) in various cities in Germany. I love the festivity, with Glühwein, a mulled wine, sausages local to each region, soups, Flammkuchen, candied almonds and other local foods to warm our tummies. Booths decorated with festive lights and decorations also sell baked goods, handmade Christmas decorations, clothing, and other items that can make great Christmas gifts.
*As for the warmed drinks, I am allergic to red wine, so I have Kinder Punch – an “Alcohol Frei” version of Glühwein!
It’s also been a busy and impactful year for us at People Bright.

We are now in Season 5 of the REVUP Your Business Podcast (formerly known as REVUP Your Potential). Since launching in 2021, we have aired more than 90 episodes to date!
