Celebrating 9 Years of People Bright Consulting
After the sale of iTRANS Consulting, the transportation engineering firm that my husband and I built together, I did not immediately start another business. I paused. I took time to reflect on what I truly wanted my next chapter to look like and how I wanted to spend my energy. That space for reflection mattered. It allowed me to move forward with intention rather than momentum, and, to be honest, to be clear about the kind of work that felt meaningful and aligned.
People Bright Consulting emerged from that clarity. I made a deliberate decision not to replicate what I had already built, but to focus fully on people, leadership, and the conditions that create healthy workplace cultures. The experience of growing iTRANS and being recognized twice as a Top 10 Best Workplace in Canada reinforced something I had seen repeatedly. Strong results are not achieved despite focusing on people. They are achieved because of it. Culture and leadership are not secondary considerations. They are strategic assets.
People Bright became the space where I could articulate and live this belief. It allowed me to develop the REVUP Framework™, centred on Respect, Equality, Valued, Uniqueness, and Potential, and to work alongside leaders and organizations who genuinely want to create environments where people can thrive, grow, and do meaningful work.
Over these nine years, I have had the privilege of supporting leaders at many stages of their journey. From those stepping into leadership for the first time, to experienced executives seeking greater clarity and impact, the common thread has been growth. Leadership is not a title or a destination. It is a journey. One that moves from potential, to capability, to confidence, and ultimately to inspirational leadership.
What has become increasingly clear over time is the joy I find in this work. Joy in meaningful conversations. Joy in building genuine connections. Joy in collaborating with people who care deeply about how leadership is practiced and how people experience work. This joy is sustained by gratitude. Gratitude for the clients who trusted me with their organizations and teams. Gratitude for collaborators and partners who share a people centric philosophy and challenge my thinking. Gratitude for the conversations, insights, and moments of reflection that have shaped stronger leaders and healthier cultures.
Nine years in, I know this work is my niche. Supporting people centric workplaces. Collaborating with thoughtful leaders. Helping individuals articulate and navigate their leadership journey with intention and integrity. The purpose feels clearer, the alignment stronger, and the commitment deeper than ever.
As I mark this milestone, I invite you to pause and reflect on your own journey. What gives you energy in your work? Where do you feel most aligned with your values and strengths? And how intentionally are you shaping the kind of leader you want to become?
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. The work continues, and it matters.
